I have a 99 Ranger with a 4.0 and the m50d-r1 tranny. I went wheelin with a buddy friday and we had a little too much fun. Upon getting home I was overlooking the under body to look for damage. I found that my transmission filler plug had some how gone missing. The treads are still great but the whole plug is gone. Does anyone know where I could find a replacement, or even the threads so I can get a pipe plug instead. I tried a couple parts places here and they said that they didn't even know that transmission had plugs. Anything would be helpful. Thanks everyone

Junkyard.

If it is a standard pipe thread size just buy a couple different sizes and return the ones that don't fit....

It's not a pipe thread, it something metric, probably around a M18-1.5 or so (just a pure guess by memory).

Junkyard or a Ford dealer is your best bet.
