Misfire

99 Ranger 2.5 has a misfire and rough idle. I have hollowed the cat out due to a moron welding it on backwards. I have not replaced it yet. Will this cause it to misfire or hesitate. I have replaced IAC, MAS, both coils, EGR. The cat was burning up the Number 4 plugs. Any help is appreciated.
