i have a 98 ranger 3.0 4x4 with 149000 miles. i just bought it from my brother and he had the same problems. i keep fouling plugs and getting misfire codes. i just replaced the plugs with bosch platinum plugs, a new coil and wires what could be doing this please help me...

I doubt it's causing ur current problem, but many folks have had problems with multi electrode bosch plugs. I'd use autolite dual plats.

As for the current problem, I'd go get a diagnostic done by a competent shop like some dealerships.

yea i am only using the single platinum bosch plugs though and i was also wondering if how my brother drove it could affect it. he drove like and old grandpa but i dont know so anymore help would be good thanks

your problem is the bosch plugs. period. use autolites or motorcraft. personally i use double plat autolites and haven't had a problem with them. as far as your brother driving it like a grandpa, you can clean out the carbon by running seafoam through it as demonstrated HERE.
