guess i'm the only one from up north... Cloquet here. only 'bout an hour from Gilbert. nice trails there for sure and the best part is it's free except for the campgrounds.

yeah, just like any other orv: 4 wheeler, snowmobile, trail bike, etc. good for 3 years, iirc. but once you have that, there is no fee to get in at Gilbert. they do check your exhaust with a decible meter to make sure you aren't too loud, that's it. you only have to pay for the camping at one of the local campgrounds if you're staying overnight or over the weekend. good trails for every level of ability and great views of the country side.

not really. they have trails that are for non-lifted vehicles that are really nice and get you to some great views. the trails are well marked for what type of wheeling is required and they divide them up so most of the time, you aren't sharing them with bikes, 4 wheelers, etc. there are a number of common trails shared by all, but it's still lots of fun driving.

Moved back to St Paul mn now, got into the offroading when i lived in fl and need to find some trails up here now. Next time someone plans a wheeling trip send me a pm.
