mileage plz help!

Seems like this truck has been a major project since i've had it. I've finally got the thing running like I think it should but the mileage is still in the toilet. like 16-18mpg on the freeway. things i've replaced include; fuel filters, plugs wires, EGR valve, DPFE, o2 sensor, Cleaned MAF, all fluids and filters.... probably more but i can't remember, anyone have any ideas why I'd be getting such terrible mileage? Also another question is with the Speed-o being off, after about 40 it starts getting further and further off, about 10-15% id say, could the inaccurate speedo also cause the odometer or trip to be inaccurate? it's not dues to tire change or anything just kinda seems like a gear is stripped somewhere and the cable is slipping....

anyone? a suggestion anything.... one more symptom ive noticed is it'll buck sometimes like a carborated vehicle with a flat spot...

mine used to do that, i changed both o2 sensors, i know you did your, but one of mie was the wrong one and i got no change in milage untill i sithched out the new one again, same thing with my cuz'z cam sensor, i pullede the code right after we put in the new one, turned out it was a bad sensor that was leaking, also check for an exaust leak, around the manifold all the wat back, a new cat never hurts either

Yes the speedo being off WILL make the odometer inaccurate.

thanks for the replies guys, I have a 5sp manual tranny. and i figured the speedo would make the odometer innacurate, guess I'll have to tear the dash apart and change it or fix it, lights are burnt out back there anyways. is it real easy to put some guages from a newer ranger in place of mine?
