Thanks Clay:headbang:

hey bro lookout! your engine isnt going to get any air with your scoop filled with snow!

joking.

looking great buddy.

Ill have parts for sale at some point....may have something you need/want.

Damn you're right, I'm just choking off performance aren't I:icon_twisted: Let know when you start stripping down the Rangebe.

But I have to answer that. WHAHAHAHAHAHA:icon_rofl:

Because I keep procrastinating on my stereo install I'll be repping this for the next little while:D

Hahaha, when y ou said battery powered win, I thought like... ghetto blaster. lol

BTW, when you go snow wheeling, don't be scared to air those tires down to like 5-8 psi. My buddy Kris has them mounted already and he went down to 4 psi with no beadlocks and they chewed like a Bogger.

Yeah it's even more cheap than that. I would air them down but I have no way of airing them back up. I've been running them at street pressure in the snow and they still do alright. I want to get onboard air ASAP. I was hoping to somehow get and underhood compressor since my truck never came with A/C so I have an empty bracket I could easy find a pulley for. But VMAC doesn't make a compressor for the 4.0L I can't seem to find one.

As much as I knock it it works, and works pretty well too:headbang:

Just run 'em to the neart gas station. That's what I do.

To be honest my house is closer to my favourite wheeling spots than any gas station:D

Haven't updated the thread in a while, guess that's a good thing now that I'm DDing it:D

Starting to prep for the driveshaft install day, but I'm considering installing my stereo first because this whole no tunes things is killing me. I have a coworker that used to do a lot of car audio as a business so he's going to help me out with the install. I've been drawing up a couple designs for my center console. Going to have a total of 4 speakers up front and then upsize the backs to 6x9 plus the sub. Should be alright for what I want.

Had the truck up to an indicated 55MPH for the first time today. Handled awesome, the unbalanced MTR-K's were smooth and quiet, even when my little battery powered stereo died. Using my tire size software from work I figured out I was actually doing 60MPH so I'm really impressed with those tires. I'm even more impressed with the A4LD. I've been keeping it out of OD to relieve stress on the sprag clutch. Ron (my transmission guru) said to only use OD on long highway cruises and leave it just in D around town. He knows the A4LD (and basically every other Ford automatic) inside and out, I'd trust him over Ford. So I popped it in OD for tonights cruise and it behaved awesomely. Kept the revs down and downshifted only when needed, unlike its normal asshole attitude of the opposite around town:thefinger:

I'm really happy with my truck so far, with a few more little tweaks it will be perfect for me.

Spent some time underneath the truck today to make sure the pan heater was staying on properly. That thing is a mess of fluids underneath. Lots of leaks I need to fix, including the rear main:annoyed:

On a lighter note I spent a bit after work BSing with Matt while he installed the CAI in his F-150. That means soon I'll go through the process of making it fit on the Ranger. I'll take lots of pics for you multi!

pan heater?

jeeze man.......i thought all this rain was bad....

Dude you Rock! :icon_hornsup:

For onboard air, there is a way to use a factory a/c compressor. there is a writeup but it requires regular oiling. You can get an a/c compressor at any junkyard for dirtcheap. itll run you up to 150psi I believe.

Hmm, something to consider I guess.

I mocked up the intake in the parts department at work today and noted a few mods I will have to do and potential places to mount the MAF. As long as the plenum fits between the fan and hood I'm all good.
