Mike's '93 4x4

Well something long since overdue has finally been done. The Ranger is getting a brand-new (reman:D) transmission!

Heck yes, I am! The trans has been holding this truck back since the beginning. It's gotten even better considering reverse and third's recent decision to vacate!

A waste of $3k?

Also, the villa got internet and an Animus in Brotherhood. You can stop using carrier pigeons and bust out the laptop.

Whoa man, no need for the haterade. It was nowhere near 3K either.

But that's what I do to things with torque converters. My daddy taught me they will steal my soul and feed it to squirrels.

He's mostly right. I suppose that is a risk, one I'm willing to take.

This truck is fantastic now! Rails through the gears like a champ. Nice firm, crisp shifts. Way quicker now being able to keep my foot buried instead of lifting at each shift point.

Nothing like a little bed weight in the winter time.

So, another update on the 93. I've finally got a snorkel on order. I while back I has a bit of a scare while hitting a pretty deep hole so it has been on my mind for a while.

The new trans is still working great and keeping me happy as a clam. A bumper solution is in the works as is some bodywork and stuff. Giving it a bit of a refresh now that it's working great.

Updated the front page "quick specs" too.

So as you all know I always had the old junk trans around. I'm sending it back as a core so I had to make sure it was free of all fluids. This is what greeted me when I popped off the pan.
