Mike's '93 4x4

P.S.- DO WANT that plate! :headbang:

Yeah I really like it. Had it on the parts counter at work and the unanimous decision was that no one outside of the Ford circle will get it, but those that do will love it haha

I think that I may get a custom plate here that says the same. We can match! Kinda...

Right on Andres!

I just went outside and filled up the coolant reservoir before I forgot, started Jammer up and ran it for a bit and filled the rad. Should be good now. I also finally changed out the other bulb so now I have the Putco halogens in both sides:D

so now that its plated....road trip to Saskatchewan for some wheeling with me? :D

mmm... 12 MPG on unbalanced mud tires:icon_twisted:

Going to be slow progression on the 93 for the next couple weeks. I've got a few little things to do on the 98 and get it gone.

dang it mike now im trying to see if i can get that on my fire plates

Here's the 411. DDing the truck I'm getting infuruated by it hunting for gears, going up a hill it kept going back and forth. Pissed me off to no end.

And right now it's sitting on the street with a brake fluid leak and one of the drums smoking. I think it's time for a brake job.

Is it brake fluid or gear oil?? I have a D35 third member with 3.73's in it, all you need is a set of 8.8 gears to match... which I also have. I have an 8.8 ring and pinion, 3.73 ratio if you're interested in both... :dunno:

It's definitely brake fluid. But just out of curiosity, how much do you want for the gears?

bummer

but if it makes you feel any better, these are the sort of little things that are normal to come up when you first put a truck on the road......you just need to grin and fix it.

i mentioned earlier i would give you some pointers on wiring that reverse light-here you are.

you'll need a switch that's labeled like this;on-off-on.
this one is a marine switch, they are great for trucks because they are weather resistant and use better materials in their construction.

this one is a double pole switch,so it's like two switches in one.that is why there are two rows of three terminals.the one off by itself is the ground for the led's in the face.you will only need to use one set of three,it doesn't matter which set.
the middle terminal will go to your auxillary light.one of the remaining terminals will be for a power lead(for a straight 'on' position)and the other will be tied into the truck's reverse lights(for an 'auto' position).which is used for which is determined by what position the switch will be in for the given operation.the switch in the down position will be connecting the center terminal with the top one,the up position connects the middle to the bottom terminal.the center position is the 'off'.

that's about all there is to it.

Thanks Tom.

Oh, and RE: The brakes.... this is what happens when you say I'll deal with it later.

No fluid in the front and the rears are completely seized, had put it on the hook to get it down to work.

Thanks guys, and yeah it sucks now but having new brakes won't hurt and it will give me some more reliability. I will say I'm happy to still have the 98 around to jump into as all the bugs in the 93 work their way to the surface.
