Messing around after new exhaust.

Is the turbo muffler the long red one? If so, we got the same one. It sounds a lot like mine.

I love it!

Copy Cat that sounds good.

I want to use some sort of turbo-muffler, and that just supported my choice.

The truck that i may be getting had the CAT stolen off it and the rest of the exhaust removed since it was damaged and rusty. I was thinking of getting a 60 dollar unisversal cat and a cherry bomb turbo 2 the ones that are like 19.99 at meijer and part stores. That the kind you have (chambered high flow that looks like a muffler) I like the way your video sounds. How does yours sound when just cruising? currently just started a new job and money is tight. want it to sound good but not drone at part throttle and highway speed. basically loud when you get on it little rumble at idle out side the truck but not annoying inside.

sounds nice, running the same on the 93 (exiting before rear tire with split tip). too bad it's still got a shot trans. the 3.0 just isn't the same. lol

accord4, it'll give ya pretty much what your asking for. :icon_thumby:
IMO, it sounds better crusing around 55, 60-65 the "exhaust harmonics" seems to quiet down a little on mine. (if memory serves me correct)

If you run a turn down after the muffler it'll be noisy as hell. Running a full pipe out the back in the stock loacation does help keep the sound out of the cab.

I've got a few holes I need to patch right now and to get my interior back in the truck before the winter snow flies. It's a bit noisy for that fact, but mine is a full body B2, so my cab goes back further. The tires drone more than the exhaust does.

I like it and I'm glad I went that route. I had the same muffler on before, but I believe it was a 2" pipe.

FWIW I don't have a cat. A good high flow shouldn't make a difference in sound. Headers help the rumble too.

I was thinking of running it to a nice tip at a 45 degree angle out the side/back.

Thanks for the input guys

yeah if it's a nice tip and you don't want it beat up then behind the rear tire (with mudflap/splashguards). no flaps or exit before the rear tire it's gonna get beat fairly well. lol

Glad I could help sway that. Take that Flowmaster lovers!:taunt:

That's right....

Okay I can accept that for "ONE" muffler - I have TWO Flowmasters and True Duals out the side. LOL

It does sound good though CopyKat, I used to run CB on some of my older cars but they had V8's.

My current system was a freebie since the owner of the shop owed us some money, would have been about $650 otherwise with the 2 FM, a new Cat and reworking the single into a dual.
