not sure if we have a thread like this, but i thought it might be cool to have ppl measure the flex. the most accurate way would be with a measuring tape under the wheel on a ramp or something similar.

i used a tractor and got 23in of clearance out of the front left, and 21in out of the back left.

next is longer shocks because mine limit my down travel. and i will either go EB coils with the appropriate buckets, or rancho 6423's.

pics to prove!

if this thread takes off, can we get a sticky please?

RTI score is 683
got 67.2in up a 20* ramp

The most accurate and common way that I can think of is using a Ramp Travel Index (RTI) ramp and getting the score from that, so do you want to start a collection of RTI scores based on the various suspension setups from stock to extreme?

i love the idea of getting my truck on a RTI ramp. but some of us don't have it avail. so if we can take a measuring tape to it we can see different setup's and their capability's without using a ramp. .

you could still get your rti score using something other than a designated RTI ramp. Just measure the angle and how many inches up you get.

i'll research this! but by angle you mean from where the tire touches the ramp/rock/tractor bucket. to the other tires contact point with the ground?

i like it, but so far i don't unerstand why you would need to know the degree of the "ramp" for the calc. plus when i use a tractor or rock or whatever, there isn't any angle.

I did the math for you on a 20 degree ramp...

"If using a fork lift you would measure where the tire meets the pallet to the floor. Since a 20 degree ramp rises at .345 inches per inch divide the height of the lifted tire by .345 (for 20 degrees). Next divide that number by your vehicles wheelbase. Multiple that number by 1000 to acquire an average and you have your score. "

So 23" divided by .345 divided 94" wheelbase x 1000
your RTI for a 20 degree ramp would be 709

and I used the calculator that you linked and you got a 715 according to this

I just did my own math.
Here is me on a 30 degree ramp... and I scored a 563.

I just did the math using the TRS "Convert an RTI From One Angle to Another" calc and apparently I am getting an 823

Also I just did the calc to see how far off the ground the tire was and this is what it came out with.

How did a TTB truck get beat by a IFS truck? Those coils look like they are whats killing you. Stiff as hell.

I hate math!

nice! i need to remeasure my wheelbase tho. i moved my rear axle back a bit. so my 693 was baised on a 97in WB.

anyone else have numbers for us?

lol

and yes, the chevy's help! but do a shackle flip and you'll get more! i have some more tweaks i need to do and it will perform MUCH better. but funds are a bit low at the moment.

can we get a sticky and a title change to RTI scoring or something of the like?

had......the body went through many modifications.note that this was when it was all flat black.the fenders looked good, but kept getting torn up on the trails,so i ditched them.once the refit is done it will have fiberglass fenders,as the wheeling is more open where i am now.mostly beach.

nice! I can't wait to see it all done up
