mazdamama's fullwidth 79 f150 sas build

That's what we like to see! It also tucks those 37's well.

so how can i get more flex ? what have you guys done. ive been finished with my build for a while and im getting tired of my buddies stock width leaf sprung yj getting up stuff that i cant, even though i know some of it just has to do with his shorter wheel base. anyway ive got extended radius arms with ballistic joints on the ends and i have 5.5 wildhorses progressive rate coils. i know that this months
TOTM winner ruth has 5.5 wildhorses with a Y-link setup and it flexes amazingly. ut i still think that my coils are somewhat limiting, not just my joints, because i have seen other members with the same arms and joints as me with air shocks that flex amazingly well also.
i personally dont want to get airshocks because i still freeway my truck and drive it often.
so, my question is what coils might work better, anyone use
jeep coils???
or jeffs bronco graveyard coils (made by deaver)??
how do they flex
feel free to post pics.
thanks.

the front will always flex when you force it by putting a rear tire up, the real test is to drive a front tire up.

This is one bad ass Mazda....

nice looking mazda!! keep it up

Lookn Good Man! How long are your radius arms and where did you by the steel to make them?

its been a long time since i have been on here, ive been focusing on school, so not much wheeling or building. Anyways, im going to be building a traction bar for the rear soon, and also building a taller lower tracbar mount.

So, does anybody know what length i should make my traction bar shackle?????

i was thinking it may need to be about as long as the shackles on my truck so that it would have a similair arc, but that just seems too long, considering that i have chevy two inch drop shackles.

finally built some sliders. im thinking about ditching the traction bar idea and building a triangulated four link in the rear with jeep or aerostar coils. anyone have suggestions?

Only suggestion I have is do it!

Ask Bray. He just built one for his Ranger, and you both have very similar trucks.

thanks josh, ill check that out.
anyway, im also looking into changing the front to y-links and running cherokee coils, or something a little bit softer. im considering buying the coil perch link mount brackets from ballistic fab, i could have sworn somebody else on here has a similair set up and it flexes amazingly.
