Will the steering collum, steering wheel and the key/key sensor from a 2000 ford ranger 3.0 v6 work in my 1999 mazda b3000 3.0 v6??? I figure their compltly interchangable but i thought id make sure before i got get it.

Thanks.

You should be alright. I think you need to swap the ECU over too, or reprogram the old one, to accept the new key code. Not positive on that.

Somebody else will probably chime in with a little more definite knowledge soon.

I would imagine they would work. You will need to get the new key programmed to the old PCM though. If you still have the PATS head you can just use a regular old spare key and hold the PATS head of the old key near the ignition switch while you start it. That will at least let you drive it somewhere to get the key programmed.

they didn't put pats in the 99 and 2000 model trucks, he's fine.

yep put a 2000 mazda wheel on my 97 ranger. fit no problemo the only deference is the mazda logo on the airbag but i just put my ford airbag on it.

They did in 98 starting on the 3.0L and the 2.3L. It was not available that year on the 4.0L but became and option starting in 99-00.
