Mazda/Ranger hood interchangable?

First off I'd like to say this is a great site. What a resource. I recently bought a 97 Mazda B4000 and it needs a few exterior repairs, including a hood. I am wondering if the hood from a 93-97 Ranger would be the same unit? The reason I ask is because I think I might as well get a cowl hood, and I think it would be easier to get a cowl Ranger hood rather than a cowl Mazda hood. Thanks for any info guys.

kinda. If i remember right you can. The front is different on a mazda then a ford just because they are two different trucks in the front grille area. If you have the hood, i think the best way to find out is to put it on and try, but in all honesty they shound work

www.certifit.com lists a different part number for each. But I believe it will still work.

Thanks for the answers guys. Just didn't want to order a hood that wouldn't fit my truck. I'll see what the guy at the body shop thinks as well. Also, I guess I could park my truck beside a 93-97 Ranger and look for differences in the hood shape. I just can't see Ford using a different hood. But thanks guys! Hope to have my truck dent and crease free soon.

i have a 94 ranger and a 94 b2300 the hoods may interchange, but they are not the same. The mazda hood is more rounded in the front in fact, i put the bug sheild from my ranger on the mazda, it works, but does not fit correctly.
