so i tryed my best to love and nurture the ttb but im finally fed up. i dont live in the desert and i dont race so i figure an sas is the way to go. i picked up a whole truck that already had the swap done on it, just really half ass. its got a full width dana 44 high pinion and a whole bunch of stuff i dont need. i plan on doing a full width 8.8 in the rear and swap my gears into it. it came with all the brackets to mount it and a full rebuild kit for he dana 44. it also came with all new brake masters and pads for an 8.8 and the 44. i think it will be a pretty simple swap. ive done my research and im still working out my track bar mount and tanny mount. if you have any tips they will be greatly appreciated.
thanks dave,

so i thought i would be able to build this right away but money went to other things more important so its gonna be alittle slow. in the prosess of stripping the axke i found out that someone had already broken the cross pin bolt. so im wondering if i should try to impact hammer it out or torch it, drill it. im gone for two weeks so ill work on it when i come back. your ideas on the cross pin would be great.

thanks dave,

Personally I'd try to mount your track bar inside the frame or under with the mount bolted inside, also you'll want your track bar within 1-3° as your steering arm

Its easier to make the mount off the axle taller while still being strong than off the frame, you'll just rip your frame to shit with what you have if you push it too hard.

As far as the pin bolt, drill and helicoil it
