Windrock ride w/PICS

I've been chatting with several members here as well as others about trying to get a big ride together sometime in May at Windrock. I would like to get as big a turnout as possible. We could make it an all weekend ride complete with camping, food, drinks, and even wrenching if need be. I have spoken with a local suspension company about coming out and speaking with the group to get feedback on possible new products or upgrades to current stuff. Maybe even showing off some prototype parts that are in the works?? :)
If anyone would be interested, post up and let me know what dates would be best. I'd like to get something nailed down ASAP.

Any interest?

where is windrock at? if it were toward the end of may i might be able to make it

Windrock---AKA Coal Creek--- is in Oliver Springs, TN. Exit 356 off I-40E is the easiest way to get here for you guys. 15 miles NW of Knoxville, TN. It has over 72,000 acres of land with trails from gravel roads to 5+ rated. You can literally ride for days and never hit the same trail twice. They have primitive camping, RV spots, and cabins to rent. Do a quick Google search and you can find all kinds of info. YouTube has many videos of the different trails also. Open to all makes and models, not just rangers. I just want to get a decent size turnout and possibly make this a semi-annual event.

I was about to make a post on here and see when everybody else wanted to go also. Late may would be good for me also.

Get the date nailed down and ill post it over on Explorer Forums to see if we can get some more people.

right now I plan to hit Durty Turtle at the end of this month....so end of May would be perfect :icon_thumby::icon_thumby:

Ok since most people do family stuff for Memorial Day, how about the weekend before, 20th-22nd?
If you'd rather do it Memorial Day weekend that's fine by me plus would allow for a departure ride Sun morning.

Yall could come up Fri evening and we could camp or everyone could get up at the buttcrack of dawn Sat morning and drive up. Camp and dinner Sat night then a short run Sun morning before you leave. If the weekend of the 27th we could get 2 days of wheeling in. I'm just throwing ideas out, you guys let me know what you wanna do. I'm just 7 miles away so it don't bother me what yall decide.

Im coming up on a friday. Either camping there or camping in your front yard. **** getting up saturday morning and driving 4.5 hrs. lol

Memorial day weekend would be good for me.

Anybody else interested? Lets get the dates set so we can all make plans.

I say come up Friday the 27th and wheel that Saturday and Sunday and leave that Monday.

So may 27-30 sounds good to me. How about everybody else?

I thought we'd have a lot more interest than this. O well, me and you will rock out all weekend. I've got a few more rigs coming. See if anyone over your way wants to come.

May 27th-29th.

I will. So far I got 3-4 interested. We will see how it goes though. Im definitely there either way.

I may be interested if I get my portals finished in time, they're about 80% complete. I'm about 2 hrs. away and love Windrock.

I could go the 21st to 22nd. My daughter's birthday is the 20th and I'm moving to Charlotte after that to go to UTI which starts on the 31st. If anyone is up for a day ride sometime, I'm up for that if it's Sun-Tuesdays. I've been trying to find someone to go with me.

Nobody says anything else about it after me. Do I smell funny or something? LOL
