i dont think that the recomended payload is high enough for the ranger supercab 4x4 i put a measured 1,723 pounds in the bed today and despite extreme squating i had no problems such as frame flex or stopping that was the most i have ever put on my truck

Yeah. I have had 1600 pounds in the back of mine but you drive around with that for a while you'll pay for it. I hauled half ton loads for about a week and then the next week my spring breaks. It can handle it but I wouldnt do it alot

just because it can do it doesn't mean it should. Like mazda said, Ford was thinking of the reliability of hauling also when they figured out the gvwr.

Get yourself a set of overload springs, helps out a lot

ya u can tow allot with a little truck
on the way back from getting my truck(we also bought a tractor from the guy)my dads torque converter blows in the guys driveway

and we got triple a and my uncle to get the trailor back and ended up towin the trailor to a friends house(empty (the guy who owned the trailor)) with my moms jeep
it has ok but hasnt been right senceits not a great idea, id invest in bettter springs if ur gonna do that again

yeah planning on getting new leafs made probably f-150 stregth with a 6 in re-arch then put a 5.0 in

I've had 2,800 lbs. of pavers (700 4 lb. bricks) in my bed before. No problems at all. The rear was definitely squatted, and the steering was fairly light. But the truck didn't seem like it was working any more than normal.
