I was just wondering if there was a way to bipass my sensor on a 94 ranger with a 4.0. I want to bolt on a air intake from pepboys but i dont think they have any that bolt up, so i was just going to hose clap it. Any suggetions?

Well.... The mass airflow sensor is probably the one that has most to do with regulating fuel mixture on that engine. Between it and the O2 sensors they basically tell the engine how to run. Want to start having problems bypass either of them. Unfortunately modern engines don't easily lend themselves to modification.

Why not do a search here on the site for a mod that allows you to make an adapter out of a common toilet flange? That way you can put on your intake and keep the MAF inline and your engine will be happy.

Lost me on that question - most aftermarket intakes do nothing but make you feel good.

I got mine from street smart designs, it was for a 97, but it works. been on the truck for 200000 no problems. you can make the adaptor from an old MAF from a junk yard if ya need to.
