Thught it would be interesting if we had a map of North America and members could put a thumbnail on spots that they wheel or have wheeled before. Maybe also have a pop-up appear on the thumbnail with the name, location, etc for the place they went to.

Or maybe have only one thumbnail per location (with users able to add locations as they go) and have the pop-up give usernames that have gone there with an overall rating and ratings for types of wheeling (mud, rocks, hill climbs, etc.)

Any thoughts on this?

Cool Idea. How do you do it ??

there is a map online that i have seen forums have where members post their locations a bit tweaking and that should suit you you just tell people to post location but not their location http://www.frappr.com/

That's fricken AWESOME!

I just added the Badlands in Attica Indiana. I was able to zoom in so close that I placed the marker right at the gate to the park. You could see the trails, campground and everything!

We need to find a way to incorporate the map in to the site here.

SUGGESTION:

Zoom in as close as you can before marking your locations with a pin.

there will be no pins in the state of NJ, please guys......its already illegal to wheel in NJ all together, i dont want to lose any of the spots i go when the goverment officials see it.....

how do you make a pin there is rock port here in missouri that i know of only because i drove by it (i have 2wd ranger) i also know a good mud hole that my bro in law played in a few years ago with his blazer.

Once the page has loaded, hit the edit button on the left side (about middle of page). The marker will be on the upper left of the map section (by the zoom buttons); just click it to activate it, then click where you want to put the marker.

As Jim said, get as close in as you can before placing the marker (helps with accuracy).

That's the catch .22, you want to keep the good spots to yourself or good buddies.

i dont know where daves farm is in canada but i am sure if you asked before you arrived he would let you tear up your truck there.

That's sorta like the "Member Map" we had a couple forums ago.

lets do this then....NO PRIVATE PROPERTY, NO LAND YOUR NOT "SUPPOSED" TO BE ON, ONLY LEGAL STUFF
