Map of wheeling locations

That's sorta like the "Member Map" we had a couple forums ago.

I thought the members map was where the members lived?

lets do this then....NO PRIVATE PROPERTY, NO LAND YOUR NOT "SUPPOSED" TO BE ON, ONLY LEGAL STUFF

I don't see why we can't put private property. If I have a good place to wheel, that myself or a friend owns, why can't I list it? I would however like to keep places that people trespass onto to wheel off the map (then again, I could just delete it).

there is no such thing as legal wheeling on private property, its a myth, lots of the psots in NJ that were private property have been shutdown under thread of prosectuion from the state.....

and who all would be lookin at this, u really want someone that DOESNT have permission going to a spot that u have permission to be at, and when thye get in trouble they just say u posted it up online and POOF youre not allowed there anymore....


it causes too many problems, thats why on our local site names of places are strictly forbidden, i know personally 3 cops for NJ that frequent this site to monitor illegal activity....

I say just off-road parks. Do you really want to post your friends property to millions of people online and tell them they can wheel on it?

For as much I want to know more places to wheel.... IDK about this. Could lead to issues.

If it goes through I think there should be some constraints EG, you have to post 2 locations before you can see other peoples posts. And, you obviously have to be a member, If lurkers could see all this then there would just be that much MORE potential complications.

With some constraints like that I would participate.

IDK about you american boys, but we have lots and lots of "Crown Land", (government owned land). As long as you dont leave a mess then ya, wheel your heart out. If only everybody could use some respect, as we all know it only takes a few to ruin stuff. Thats where I do all my wheeling.

I do see what you guys mean about the private lands, but it would be nice to see the privately owned parks (thats what I origianlly meant to spit out, sorry for any confusion).

Right now it is a public map, anyone and everyone has access to and can edit it.

The only other choice I have for this is to make it a private map and anyone that whats to share their locations would then email me so I can add their address's to the list, then they could add their destinations. There is not a lot of other things I can do to it, it is just a google add-on after all.

Clarification required on this. Here in my part of MI they don't care what we do on our property, we used to have a motorcross track in the backyard.

they have been issuing improper land usage in NJ, destruction of protected enviroments, etc......i know i just lost one of my favorite spots that was featured on a recent trucks gone wild becuase of the publicity from the videos, and the state fineing the owners repeatadly

Gotta love Canada !!! Only 10% of Canada is private property. Of course the 90% Crown land is mostly far north but a cool stat anyways !!

When driving through Selvin, IN I saw a road marked Jeep Trail Road. It was an actual street sign. I was wondering if anyone knows anything about that?

I added 3 parks in washington. Evans Creek and Elbe hills are as close as I could get with the map, but Tahuya is spot on.

That's fricken AWESOME!

I just added the Badlands in Attica Indiana. I was able to zoom in so close that I placed the marker right at the gate to the park. You could see the trails, campground and everything!

We need to find a way to incorporate the map in to the site here.

SUGGESTION:

Zoom in as close as you can before marking your locations with a pin.

Holy crap! They're keep a close eye on you guys out there! I was looking for the entrance to a OHV park out here and couldn't get in near that close.

We never post trail locations up here. Alaska is a bit different. You step off the road, you are in the food chain (not necessarily the top) and some of our trails will take you miles and miles from civilization. No cell or even VHF coverage. We want you to go with someone and NEVER WHEEL ALONE!!! Generally, all you have to do to wheel is post up and someone will be able to go with you. Next time you go out, you will know where the trail is!

you knew where that was? i definitely couldnt figure it out, it looked sick tho.
