I just recently replaced my auto hubs with manual hubs and now want to swap my transfercase for a manual one.

I have a 1992 Ranger XLT 2.3 5 Speed Manual long bed.

The truck was orignally auto hubs with an electric transfercase.

I am wanting to swap to a manual case.

I have on my shop floor a 1350 manual case out of a bronco (I believe it was an 86), but I am not sure about the drive shafts.

Is it just the front shaft that is an issue with the swap? I also am planning to swap to lift coils and leaves at about the same time and didn't know if that would affect the drive shafts either...

Any help would be greatly appreciated

The front drive shaft will have to be a drive shaft from a BW1350 and if you have a Dana 35 up front, then you will need to shorten it by 1".

The rear drive shaft, at worst could just need the rear mounting flange on the transfer case swapped with the electric rear mounting flange.

So I if understand correctly...

Since I have a dana 35 I will have to swap to a 1350 truck's drive shaft and shorten it, or is that the two options.

1. shorten stock shaft 1 inch
2. switch to 1350 front shaft from a d28 truck

I have 2 of those shafts for sale if you are interested in them. Make me an offer, I just want them out of my garage.
