You will need to fabricate an extension for it.

Pull up REALLY hard.

I never extended mine, just left it.

Heat it up with a heatgun or hair dryer.

I had to cut my body pan with a 3" body lift. I left mine short though, I'd like it a hair longer but I will probably just leave it.

Pull the shift boot down, take an adjustable wrench and close it to the size of the shifter rod below the shift knob. Take a hammer and strike upwards on it.

Oh yeah, becareful that it doesnt hit you in the face. Dont ask how I know.

3 inch body on my b2 with the stock shift lever ........ no problems ever

just installed my 3 inch body lift and had to cut my floor pan.if not my manual t/case would've been stuck in 4hi
put a 3 1/2 inch in my fullsize, had to cut floorpan 2inches back and 2 1/2inches front of factory hole and had to tweak the shifter to get full engagement from 4hi-4lo and then i went to my local Shucks and got after market boot to properly cover hole. i realize you are probably running a borg-warner or somesuch for a transfer case, but my shift pattern front to back is: 4lo
N
2hi
4hi
if your pattern is the same and you don't get fullthrow, pm me if you want [ before the weekend, i leave friday and won't get back until monday] and i will post you some pics of my bend and tweak job. i will tell you right now it involves a torch to heat things up a grinder to cut final notch and a welder to finish. :icon_thumby:

Gotmudd, this is the shift pattern that BW1350 and 1354s have.

don't BW's have a nuetral position? if not he might get by without bending shifter. i had to bend mine cuz of the 4 shift points on my shifter, almost 45* w/a u-turn @ mid-point on shifter

Not the 13-50 or the 13-54. But they kinda dont need one unless you have an auto. The oil pump in them allows them to be flat towed and still oil everything in the case.

must be nice, wish my NP205 was like that :temper:

You don't need an extension. Just cut down the rubber boot a little so it shifts smoothly.

I got my knob loose by twisting it with a pipe wrench and then pulling it off.
