Manual to Auto Swap

Picked up an '85 XL 2.8 5 spd for my kid. Doesn't look good that he's going to master a stick though. I, fortunately can drive a stick and really like the truck and want to keep it. (Verified little old lady original owner and it's in fantastic shape) So....Imm looking for another ranger/bronco 2 for him. There's tons of great buys out there in craigslistland but they're all manual trans, and the all need transmission work anyway. How difficult would it be to convert a ranger/bronco to auto? Looking at an '84 to '89, rather a 4x2 than 4x4 to keep it simple...

I'd love to have someone send me, or post a link that, details the swap and parts if possible.

you don't want any of the auto transmission available to you. that crappy French made A4LD sucks ........ I would keep him practicing on the 5spd ....

he could always find an 83-84 with a c5 they can be built just as strong as a c4
