Manual shift transfer case.

What year and model Rangers were offered with a manual shift transfer case ? My Dad was thinking about getting a Ranger to tow behind his motorhome. We were thinking about a 4 cylinder 5 speed 2wd. After reading more about the subject it seems a 4X4 with a manual shift transfer case would be a better choice.

Anything older than 97 was offered with a manual t-case. Then in 2002 some were found in fx4 trucks then offered in 2003 in the fx4 level 2 trucks. You can get early 4x4 trucks with a 4cyl engine as well. There is a lot of useful info about all this in the tech info section.

I have seen a manual transfer case as late as 2010, but like big dan said, after 97 they get very rare very quick.
