So after having a clicking sound coming from my front wheel area and after reading this artice http://therangerstation.com/Magazine/Summer2003/ChangingBearingsInManualHubs.htm I went ahead and ordered the two needle bearings and got started today. I took both hubs apart as is shown in the article and found no bearing whatsoever! Frustrated, I just cleaned the pieces and inside real good and put it all back together. Now, I'm trying to do a little research and find out why mine doesn't have this bearing I wanted to replace. I found another article in the tech library for switching to jeep locking hubs here http://www.therangerstation.com/Magazine/May04/offroad.htm Turns out the internals of mine are exactly like the jeep ones. Instead of a plastic piece hiding a bearing, mine have a solid copper bushing. Does this mean I have these jeep hubs without even knowing it? Or could there be some oddball ranger hubs designed like this as well?

Woops! seems I didn't read the whole article and missed where it said these hubs are currently made with the bushing instead of bearing. You can go ahead and ignore/delete this.

I have a clicking in my front end and its making me very angry... can i just get new bushings?
