Seems like another FoMoCo screw-the-consumer "hose" job. Yeah, those little branches off the main heater hoses, which provide anti-icing function to the intake path... I ASS-umed they were 3/8", but upon closer inspection, they're even SMALLER... 5/16"?... looks more like 1/4". And the nipples on the manifold appear to be press-fit in, so no easy swap to threaded fittings. 
Bloody hell, just try to find heater hose smaller than 3/8, or any kind of REDUCTION FITTING... hmmm... wonder what the hardcore plumbing supply store has for copper tubing?... hmmm...
Luckily I have a Ford dealer connection... will have to see what his best under-the-table price is on the OEM fancy molded jobbies.
PS: Can I use FUEL hose as COOLANT hose???
