I have a 95 4.0, and am puzzled about where to place a magnetic block heater - which works really well on other vehicles with steel oil pans - on my engine. Any ideas? :icon_confused:

My only suggestion is to install a proper block heater....

It shows you live in st. Louis. Which Im guessing is the Missouri one. Do you really need a block heater at all. Does it ever get below.?

Below . . . ?

It gets below my comfort level in about October! Seriously, I have used the little magnetic block heaters on the oil pan of my SB Chevy powered T-bucket, and it gets up to operating temp really quick, even on "cold" days.

But, compared to really cold places, I shouldn't complain; just interested in keeping my ol' 4.0 running as long as possible. Thanks for the input! :)
