Recently read a post on another website about an oft overlooked MAF sensor and CRC coming out with a spray to clean it. If dirty, its supposed to give slightly better gas mileage which I for one, can certainly use. What and where is it ? Is it fairly easy to get at on an 89 2.9 engine ? How long would this take ? I normally use brake parts cleaner for almost everything. Would this work instead of the CRC ?

an '89 2.9 engine doesn't have one.

Some relatively rare californi emissions 2.9's made 91-92 have them.

All 4.0 engines have them
all Ranger 3.0 engines have them
90-up 2.3's have them.

And NO, the 1989 2.3DPIS engines don't.
