MAF, Throttle Body, and Chip

Ok, so i'm looking to swap out the MAF, throttle body and slap a jet chip or something from James Duff on my truck. I was wondering mostly about the MAF though, where can i get a replacement one that will help to boost the horses in my truck? I've already put an intake on it, and its a 93 ext cab 4.0L automatic.

I've found the throttle body(BBK) and the chip from JET and it looked like James Duff makes one too... so i think i'm set on that, unless anyone has any suggestions?:icon_cheers:
 
haha this is in preperation for boost :) I'm working on getting to the point of putting either: a supercharger(gotta find one first!, single turbo, or twin turbos)... all of which basically require me to rebuild the motor first... sucky but i wanna do it right! :D

hahaha i know, its gonna be a while before i even get to any form of forced induction. but next on the list of things to do is exhaust and headers... along with 8" SJ lift and 35" tires/or SAS swap. I'm just doing stuff when i can, and still being able to pay for school too:dunno:
 
maf and injectors

try a 2000 lincoln mark 2-8 for 26lbs. injectors and maf. that is what i am going to use.

i would wait to change the maf and such till you got the super on it you'll get a little more power but may run way rich or have other issues arising but not an expert. the chip will help now thoe.

where are you getting the injectors at? i've heard of guys using different injectors from mustangs too.

the injectors from a lincoln mark 8 are 21 lbs btw and the maf is built into the filter box but can be easily changed that is what i am working on right now getting all the tuning for a blower. not so easy there aren't many options none of them good ones
 
about the chip. I saw someone on here tried a Jet chip and it didn't do anything what about the James Duff chip. its 300 bucks, twice that of the jet chip, anyone every use it? does it work?

I know that Jet also makes a MAF and was going to get one, until I called SuperChips (I have their Cortex) and was told NO-NO-NO. An aftermarket MAF is not friendly with their programmers. As for Jet's chips/modules - I have heard little good about them, but a lot of bad.
 
how much would a new MAF help really?

i have never been able to find a programmer for the OHV since it isnt OBD II. ive only seen the Jet chip (havent heard much good either) and the james duff one. i thought i read somewhere that some of the OHV motors came from the factory not able to use a new chip. something about even with a new chip the computer would ignore it and run stock or something? maybe im wrong but im not sure.
