Changed the oil tonite, after I put the plug back and filled it back up I realized that my plug didn't have a washer on it, i woud really hate to have to drain out 5 quarts of fresh synthetic just to put on a new washer. I tightened it down good and its not dripping but is there a chance it will back its way out while im driving? Also I can't remember if it ever had a washer on it, it may not have. Do guys think it will be ok if I just keep an eye on it? Usually I pay better attention than this but I was in a hurry because I had to mine and the girlfriends car before it got dark.

none of my vehicles have ever had a washer on them, they don't leak. but i do like the copper washers though. or the rubber ones. you'll be fine

Neither of my Rangers had washers on the drain bolts. Is your bolt a flange style, or standard?

Thanks for the responses guys, its just a standard bolt no flange I don't remember one being on there but thanks for easing my mind:)

i dont have a washer on mine its just a bolt with like the built in washer on it idk how to explain it
