Common thing... shifter is sloppy.

Thoughts on new bushings in the stock shifter?
How about a Core shifter?
Or a Hurst?

Which one to do?

The rebuild kit deal for the stock shifter is pretty cheap.

Core is building new short throw shifters with Hurst parts for a couple hundred dollars.

Just get the rebuild kit. The aftermarket shifters aren’t vented and cause more issues down the line. Plus it’s a ranger. The stock shifter will prolong the life of the trans by NOT allowing speed shifting. Spend your money elsewhere.

Good point.

Are there upgraded bushings, or just stock replacements that need to be done every 50k?

Delrin? Aluminum? Bronze?

Stock replacements are cheap enough and easy enough to change I wouldn't bother with "better" ones.

The kit is like $15 on Amazon.

Did the bushing repair. Much better. Still a bit of a long throw but at least not in the glove box.
