M5OD R1 Rattle


Grab them with needle nose pliers and pull straight back. They come out pretty easily.

Thanks. They're flush, but because they're rubber you can get a hold of the edge?
 
The only rubber ones I've seen stick out a ways... they look like this:

Ohhh, not flush. Thanks for the photo!! Easy to get out.

The ones I got were referenced on this site: Dorman 555-108.
 
Those Dorman ones are the steel freeze plug replacement. Use a little RTV around the edge when you drive them in, and not too far either, just till the lip is past the beveled edge or a hair further is far enough.
