I have a 1988 ranger and i wanted to put a m50d trans it in and i was wondering if u had to change the clutch,starter, flywheel to the 4.0 setup or can i use all the 2.9 conponents? Also will my driveshaft be ok or do i have to get another one made. I have a a4ld in it now thats garbage.

IIRC,You must change the starter (to the manual 4.0 starter)and the metal plate that goes between the engine and trans, and you can use the 4,0 clutch/flywheel, etc. The bigger clutch is better than the 2.9 version. The driveshaft and trans mount will bolt right up with no changes.
