M50d-1 VS: 88TC T-5

Hello there...I am working on a BII 2.3L powered and i have ran across an 88TC T-5 complete with hyd bell. I am wondering the general consensous on the strength of it against the usual m50. It seems from I read the T-5 if is the right one can be pretty tuff, and I DO like the external slave setup for a 2WD project at least...This BII may be turbo'ed as well eventually and I'm not sure if it will be 2WD or 4WD..(I already have a 4wd version of an m50 as well as a 2wd version)....thoughts?

t-5 all the way why do u think they r behind the yurboed 2.3 and 302 mustangs in the eightys

Chevy Blazers used T-5's so you can adapt the T-5 for a transfer case , and the Turbo Coupe version has some sweet gearing for that engine .

all that good to know...

a cple of posts so far a vote for the T-5...I saw the trans 2day in a friends shed...all complete with the TC crossmember attached still...It's getting me interested in at least adding it to my collection for now...i've been following the other threads about adding the xfer case..but some have said not for 4x4 use?

So if I added an 8.8 RA not-flipped....i basically would get a pretty tough drivetrain straight thru i would guess....and slam the BII...sounding better all the time....
