I've been looking around for a kit to rebuild the Torsion in the axle I'm buying, but I can't find anything besides an entire replacement unit for 670$. :icon_surprised:

I'm going to call the parts department at the local stealership and see if they sell a rebuild kit.

If it's worn to the point of needing rebuilt, there's probably some wear on the case as well. Once they're trashed they're basically trashed.

A new Detroit tru-trac (also a torsen diff) will sell for just under $450 (no idea on shipping).

Well that sucks.. I guess the truck stopped moving randomly. But it wasn't driven after the fact.

I will either put an open carrier in it or find a cheap limited slip and rebuild it with firm clutch packs.
If I put in the open carrier, that leaves me the option of cheap lunchbox lockers.

Torsens don't wear the same way a clutch based LSD would it shouldn't need to be rebuilt. That's the main reason you can't find a rebuild kit nothing is a wearable item.
