hello everyone
i have an 03 4x2 with a adjusting knob for the lumbar support.
the problem i have is it feels like there is poking in the center of my
back. the lumbar will adjust down in my lumbar but it still feels like it
is in the middle of my back. does anyone have any thoughts on what this could be, or any way i can fix this problem.

Hey Welcome,
Im not sure if this is the answer your looking for but it sounds like there is something that is out of line or worn out. On my 2000 there is an adjustable piece of material that "bows" as you turn the knob. Unfortunately mine somehow snapped from the supporting brackets so now no matter how I turn the knob it doesn't adjust. It could probably be fixed by a small weld but I don't care about it too much. I looked around for a Ford diagram on the lumbar support but came up empty handed. This is the closest I could find. Gives the general idea. http://www.a4mods.com/pics/lumbar/LumbarSupport.jpg Just a thought. Good Luck :icon_thumby:
