would it hurt my 4.0 tranny if i added some lucas oil to the vavoline max life tranny fluid ive got?? its the lucas oil stabalizer. what do you think?

Im not big on oil and tranny additives, and theirs alot of mixed opinions on this, but i do use lukus in my munual tranny and front and rear diffs, just a little. However i once had a 99' montecarlo, trans was slipping so i changed the filter and fluid and added some lukus, and it shifted fine, but doesnt meen that lukus solved my problem,it could have been the filter

IMHO lucas is often used as a band aid fix for a bigger problem but if it works for you then all the better i guess.

I didnt say it worked or didnt,my thoughts are that the trans filter on the car had never been changed and thats what caused it to slip, lukus was just added insurance, peace of mind i guess. Some products or most out there are rediculous claiming they can rebuild your engine or drive train by purchasing their product and adding it to your POV.I do like mixing a little in my 5speed and front and rear diffs though, but not a firm believer in it
