I know that the Ranger slave cylinders are something short of a dream come true, so I'm not surprised that mine is being a pain in the ...
I suspect that the slave release is not moving smoothly on the spline shaft. I've read that this is not uncommon. Before I start removing drive shaft, transmission etc., has anyone found a way to lubricate the spline without pulling the transmission.
I'm considering going thru the transmission rubber side access cover to get at the slave cylinder, cut a hole in the slave cylinder rubber boot and spray some lube through the hole.
Any thoughts?
Jim
