lt1 monster ranger

What will be used for the wheels on this project the military wheels that came from the duec with beadlocks installed? or do you have plans to use the 14b hub/machined spindle to 8 lug road?

looks like a sweet setup with a whole lotta power, im still not a fan of putting chevy motors in fords, of ford motors in chevys, or dodges in genral, i actually helped my teacher(votec, assistant teacher) build an lt1 for his z28, should be a sweet car, if he ever gets an intake......

and i almost shit myself, where in jersey you located? and if you arent too far and need an extra set of hands id love to help you out, or if you wanna wheel, pm me

yup alot of people ask me if it will work because of the reversed drive but all i have to do to correct that is 180 the axles and it will og forward when its in drive the only problem ive realized im going to have is my 2wd on the tcase will be driving the front wheels so ill have to leave it in 4wd to avoid unnecessary wear on the front axle

trucks in berlin at my buddies house i could use the help and its cool over there today we ran over the chevy caprice shell with his bronco on 38's!!! were its the cycle of 4wheeling to build we must destroy

I will be very impressed when you get it completed, once again not a big chevy supporter, but hey you could be using an S10 but your not, and those motors are good engines, good luck on your build keep us posted with pics.

Thanks Ive always liked rangers but didnt like the lack of power. Ive wheeled my 2 previous suburbans an 88 and 89 and the 260hp 350s moved those 7000lbs monsters around with no problem so I can only imagine what a 330hp lt1 will do with an almost 50/50 weight distributed ranger. Even with the 625lb each rockwells and 180lb each tires Ill still weigh in at 2000-2500lbs less then the burbans!

Wow, that's going to be pretty badass.:icon_thumby: I like the Chevy powerplant.:D

Did you guys fab the cage, or was it a kit? A buddy of mine is trying to decide if he wants to buy a pre-bent cage, or if we should just bite the bullet and build our own.
:icon_welder:

Its a prebent that isnt going to be used now decided to go for full exocage so its up for sale for what i paid 150. All I need is one crossbrace in the cab behind the seats for the harnesses.

If youve got the know how and the tools use them, what you can make yourself is always better then a cookie cutter production piece.

would the cage fit in a reg cab ranger.....

i might be interested for my 85, and im not too far
