I picked up a 2000 ranger last spring that had been sitting for a couple years, 3.0, manual, 4x4. Started working through some regular maintenance. Before knowing i had a trouble code i did plugs and wires because power on the highway was inconsistent and i discovered a plug wire was loose and arcing to the plug. After finding the trouble code, P0305 i replaced the coil pack and thought it was gone but it came back. Engine would ping a little under load once warm, ran great cold. We had a cold morning, first time in the 30s and after starting my truck and waiting for the fast idle to drop before leaving and after it did, then it almost stalled and started running real rough. I wondered if it would pass but the engine quit just a block from my house. Wouldn't even turn over. After getting it home, found the fuse for the PCM was blown, replaced with new. It now turns over but wont start. Fuel system primes and pressurizes. I thought i was getting spark but realized that 1 of the 3 coil doesn't work. Not getting spark for 2 and 6. Installed the old coil pack that i still had, same result.
Assuming i need to get a new PCM but wanted to ask if i should consider anything else.
