This is a 98 ZX2 2.0 DOHC Zetec (obviously since its a ZX2) 5spd. mainly a d.d. but may get some add on's over time, just like a descent peppy 4banger :) this would be my 3rd ZX2.

Best tank has been 39mpg but usually gets 36mpg driving back and fourth to work and when I drove out to Michigan City Indiana at 72mph 3300rpm.

Very nice, have you ever owned an S/R?

I freaking hate these.

So small. >.<

And changing the timing belt was a PITA.

Loved the snow handling though. I only got about 22-25MPG's with my auto.

By the way, a better intake would be to ditch the K&N typhoon and put the OEM one back in with the S/R Iceman intake tube. There's a mod to the lower airbox that essentially makes it a ram air intake. Let me know if your interested.

i dont fit in these as well as the gen before them....i like the 95 i have for fit.

but they are good little cars.....if only i didnt hate cars so much it would be easier on my wallet...

They don't have much room under the hood but great MPG's and descent power with the manual trans, no race car but good d.d.

EDIT: I know the intake mod you're speaking of, I had done it to my 98 Z a couple years ago with K&N filter and didn't notice an increase in mpg's either from it.

DEFINITELY gotta go with the manual trans. The auto dumbs down the power and sucks your MPG's right out the door.

I had the same motor in my Focus, I averaged low 30's on the freeway and mid 20's in the city. Sometimes I miss that hah

Hey man, nice ZX2. I own 3 as well. I'm curious about those gage overlays, are those speedhut overlays?

Wow, you own 3 Z's? That's cool, and I believe they are speedhut, its better than the regular ebay gauges because they actually come on with the regular headlight switch and not a separate switch.

The speedhut gauge overlays typically have a switch to change colors? do you? Do your overlays say speedhut, typically it's written on the bottom right of the tach

Nice. Gotta get my 98' back on the road again, I miss it. You should get some MX3 seats for it, so much nicer and they bolt right in...plus they sit lower so you get a little more room.

Agreed.

I was always on the lookout for MX3 seats, only ones I ever found were trashed in some light blue color so I never got any.
