lower ball joint rubbing.

I recently changed my tie rod ends on my 2002 4 ltr v6. I test drove it and everything seemed fine, last night i drove it to work and was fine too. However, upon arriving to school this morning (after a a 40 min drive) I started to hear a loud scraping noise. I looked behind the wheel and found that the bolt of the lower ball joint on the lower control arm is rubbing against the inside of my rim! it is so bad that i cant even drive it. any ideas? any help would be appreciated.

Your ball joint must have snapped.

Replace it.
