After the cluster in my 95 ranger went on the fritz I swapped in one from a sport trac. The tach on the new one reads low where as the original cluster was fine. If you rev the truck in neutral it wont go past 4k and it reads around 1200 when running 60 in 5th. I read on another forum about the tach stealing a signal off the check engine light and where you may have to repin some of the wires on the back. Anyone know anything about this or know which wires to repin and/or splice? Any insight would be helpful
