i have a question, when my ranger is low-idling, i eard a relay clic and the idle is up(idle faster like a very little gaz kick)and he go down... i dont know if its the a/c compressor(a/c if turn off when it happen) whoes clic ???? very strange?? help please!

if you have the vent selector set to defrost it will cycle the A/C. and do the same thing. I'm guessing this may be the culprit being that it is "winter" and can be chilly out. set the vent select to just floor or dash vents and see if it still does it.

You can always unplug the electric connector from the a/c and then it shouldn't do it anymore, just be sure to hang the electric connector out of the way from moving parts so it doesn't get chewed up, that should take care of it if it's the a/c clutch kicking in like i think it is.

And if it IS the compressor (and I agree, it sure does sound like it), you've noticed NORMAL behavior. Don't try to "fix" it or you'll just cause other problems, like poor defogging.
