does anyone know how hard it is to make stock heads low(er) compression? I want to run a supercharger on my 302 HO, and i've heard about people just takin the stock heads out a little.

if anyone knows of someone who sells low compression heads that i could use, could you give me an address? i can't find them anywhere.

find a mid to late 70's head from a pick up and grind out the combustion chambers. you can also run a thicker headgasket/spacer type thing.

you can also run a dished piston, you only want to drop to around 8:1.

Depending on what the cc is of the heads you have now, around 10-12cc. Dished forged pistons would be the way to go. Biggest stock chambered heads were the '77' 302 2-V heads, 69cc. It's that or go with the '73-76' motor that came with the 8:1 ratio.

Just bolt on a set of D8OE heads on a 72-76 shortblock. You'll get a ratio deep into high 6's or low 7's.

you can get thicker head gaskets... that's always good for a few points.

and dished pistons are the easiest way to lower compression without having to swap heads...
