low budget prerunner project

wasn't satisfied with the way the spring sat so I made a little piece to hold it back and tacked the spring in

so with new brackets in and put on its own weight this was the best I could align the tires! I was scary to drive. I was really upset and I only got 3/4 of an inch of lift! I think the springs were worn out

so I bought these rough country 4" lift coils. they rand me about $150. this is them vs stock

It looks good. Are you running extended bump stops in the front? Have you had any thoughts about going to F-250 front shocks? I'm working on that right now on my 88. Those lift coils were way stiff for me. I have a spare set of Moog cc820 springs I'm going to try in my truck. I have calculated that they will give me around 2.5 inches lift over stock. If they do I am going to take them back out and put in a set of cc824 springs, which I hope will give me 3- 3.5 inches lift over stock. They are advertised at 360 ppi, which is still a bit stiff, but is better than the lift springs.

no I haven't considered f250 shocks I just bought the 4-6" rancho lift shocks. I ran about 50 miles of dirt today and I like the way it feels. i need to get going on the rear end now
