lost brakes

hi just a quick question. i was driveing my 94 ranger 4x4 today took a corner went to stop the brake peadel went right to the floor. so i coasted to the nearest parking lot. when i got in the parking lot the brakes started working again what could cause this? a bad master cylinder? and suggestions will help thanks in advance

Sounds like the master cyl. When you replace it don`t forget to bench bleed the new one.
