wel, this morning i woke up to my dog screaming, she had a bad back already, and her discs in her back ended up shattering, causing her to become paralyzed...so me and my mom took her to the vet and we had to make the choice to put her down...my mom couldnt be in there while they did it, but i loved her...and i wanted her to know everything will be okay...so i stayed until she took her last breathe...i miss her so much already, bu shes in a better place now...

Sorry about your loss...good dogs are hard to let go...but it was for the best...I still miss Jack The Dog...he was my nephews' dog but he adopted me when I was living with my sister and I spent the better part of two years with him...he had to be put down for bad hips...and it was even sadder because I couldn't be there with him...

The good news...there are thousands out there that need a good home and you soon place your love in the new one...

sorry to hear it,man.i'm in the position where i'm going to have to make the same decicion sooner than i'd like.my old girl is on dailly pain pills and can barely get onto her feet sometimes.but she's still happy, and loves me dearly.i hate to think that the day will come when there's no other option.

i feel for you.

it sucks man, ive had to be there for 3 of our dogs over the years. 2 of them we had since i was born, they both made it 16 years. the other got hit by a car when she was 4. id rather break up with a girl a hundred times than lose a dog. sorry for your loss.

Sorry for your loss. It is always tough.

that sucks man, sorry about that. same thing happened to my moms dog last year, he had lymphoma and could hardly breathe sometimes. other than that, he was fine, he didnt even know anything was wrong with him.

at least she's in a better place now

I'm sorry, Scott. A good dog is often better than a good human.

So sorry for your loss Scott, in time the pain of losing her will be displaced by the joyful memories you had. Grief is a difficult thing, and I know for some people the loss of a loved pet can be equal to or in excess of the grief felt by the loss of a human. Remember the good times, the fun, and the companionship, and the happiness you had. You gave her quite a few happy years, and I have no doubt she KNEW she was loved!

im sorry for your loss man. its really hard to let go a pet.
but in her memory u can raise another doggy.

ive lost so many i said i wouldnt care about em anymore, but i cant every dog we get at the farm is like a new friend for me.

Just lost our old dog in October last year. She was 12 years old; black lab. Found her out on the lawn dead when i got home from work. She weighed about 110 lbs and sucked to bury...I will miss her though, she was such a sweet dog.

Their is something worse then losing a dog...having to bury it.

So sorry, Bro!! What a beautiful sweet heart!!! I know how you feel!!! It hurts to do what you did..but it was for the best. She had a great home!!! You really cared about her.

Sorry to hear, tough losing a 4 legged friend.
Like Dave said most of the time they are better then the 2 legged.
