In the morning I crank up my truck, let it warm up and take off down the road. Sometimes it lacks power when first backing out of my driveway. Usually it cuts off. I restart and give it more gas and it will go. Accelerating through 1st 2nd and 3rd the engine will loose a little power. It feels like something pushes on the truck in spurts, if you know what I mean. What is the problem? The engine was rebuilt earlier this year, and it ran fine. This problem does not happen all the time. It is a 1988 Ranger with a 5-speed & 4x4.
