Transmission was rebuilt about two weeks ago. Took it out for a camping trip, and when I got back saw this hose loose near the rear axle. I looked around with a mirror but didn't see an obvious connection point. Can anyone ID the issue? Drivable or do I need to tow it to the shop? The picture is facing toward the back wheels.

Vent hose. It's to allow the rear to breathe air in and out as temperatures change. You might want to ziptie it to something on the rear-end so it doesn't flop around and crack or break off.
Your good to drive

It was attached to upper frame rail under the bed by a clip, should have a small loose cap on the end so air can go out and in but won't get blocked by mud or bugs

Google: rear axle vent caps

It comes out of the top of an axle tube so no fluid would ever come out

And if you're driving in water, might want to raise up the end up higher, as well as the other vents, you will not have one for manual trans (well, you do, but no hose, most likely) but there is the front diff and if you are 4x4 the transfer case. But if you're just street driving it's not an issue.
