lookn to boost my 99 3.0 ranger

im tooking to put an eaton super charger kit on my 99 ranger. also, how do i get manual looking hubs on it? i cant find a kit for the 99, but i heard the 97 kit will work. i need help, what other parts will i need to make this work, i have about a 15000 dollar budget. also, my 4x4 keeps going out. the hubs were replaced under warenty by ford about 3 mounths ago. i need help nothhn is scarier than kickn it sidways on a icy road at 60 when u didnt mean to

If that isn't a typo, it's probably better just selling the truck and finding a good 01 or 02 4.0 ranger........if you meant 1500, there aren't any supercharger kits for rangers in that price range.
 
yeah. if thats not an error buy a newer 4.0 and you'll be satisfied. buy an older ranger with a 4.0 and supercharge it. you'll have loads of fun.
 
well i have an eaton m62 supercharger that im not gonna use. my buddy gave it to me when he got rid of his ranger. he said it was for a 3.0 so i thoght id make a manifold for a 4.0. well any way, i dont have the time to do all the work for the supercharger so i wanna get rid of it all. im all the way in San Diego but if your interesed just pm me.
 
i would get the 4.0 ( people wreak these trucks up here alot i could just swap the whole motor and tranny for 500) but i like building the underdog motor. and the budget it correct. while the army may not pay much, they lovwe giving out huge bonuses.
 
building the underdog motor is one thing, 33% more displacement with a 4.0 is entirely another.
 
true, but ive seen four banger 1.8s with 400 hp, and there are parts availible to take the 3.0 to 400
 
OK, I can understand that. Haven't seen any supercharger kits for the 3.0

ive been thinkn bout puttn a 5.0 in it. all id need was a donar car that had ben rolled of hit in the side so i caould get the tranny and rear axle
 
hmm 15,000 I could think of a few things for that money. 31 spline axle, disk brakes, ox locker, 4.56 gears terria flex shackles, deaver springs dixon bro's racing long arm kit. dual exhaust and the list go's on and on.
 
Why not build a 302, or even a 351, throw a 9" w/ a detroit in it, and sas front?
